Key responsibilities from the job description
Blackbaud is looking for an Engineering Manager who will:
Lead one or more Agile engineering teams.
Recruit, mentor, coach, and grow engineers.
Drive engineering best practices, code quality, CI/CD, and modern architecture.
Partner closely with Product Management to prioritize backlogs and deliver customer value.
Own strategic engineering initiatives and continuous process improvements.
Lead large-scale projects from design through production.
Foster operational excellence, reliability, monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement.
Influence technical direction while remaining close to technology.
Skills they are looking for
3+ years of engineering management experience.
Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems.
Strong software engineering fundamentals (.NET is a preferred technology in several Blackbaud engineering roles).
Knowledge of cloud, CI/CD, design patterns, microservices, and modern architectures.
Strong stakeholder management and communication.
