Toronto Police Officer Charged With Multiple Sexual Offences Involving Girl Under 16

TORONTO, Ontario — A Toronto police officer is facing a series of serious criminal charges following an investigation by Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) into allegations involving a female youth.

The SIU announced that Constable Parsa Hazeri has been charged in connection with alleged incidents involving a girl under the age of 16 that reportedly occurred in Toronto between September and December 2025.

Multiple Criminal Charges Filed

According to the SIU, Hazeri faces several charges, including:

  • Sexual assault
  • Sexual interference
  • Invitation to sexual touching
  • Transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under 16
  • Communicating with a person under 16 for the purpose of facilitating an offence
  • Breach of trust
  • Careless use of a firearm

The police watchdog said SIU Director Joseph Martino determined there were reasonable grounds to believe criminal offences had been committed.

Officer Arrested and Released on Conditions

Hazeri was arrested at SIU headquarters on Thursday morning and held for a bail hearing before being released under several conditions.

Among those conditions, he is prohibited from directly or indirectly communicating with the complainant.

He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on July 17.

Toronto Police Move Toward Dismissal

Following the charges, Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw initiated proceedings seeking Hazeri’s dismissal from the police service.

The officer has also been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings.

Toronto police stated that the service notified the SIU after becoming aware of complaints involving the officer in January 2026.

Investigation Conducted by Police Watchdog

The SIU is an independent civilian agency responsible for investigating incidents involving police officers across Ontario.

Officials said the alleged offences occurred while Hazeri was off duty. Due to the matter being before the courts, the SIU declined to provide additional details about the investigation.

The Toronto Police Association acknowledged the charges but stated it would not comment further on the ongoing case.

Court Process Ahead

The allegations against Hazeri have not been tested in court.

As with all criminal cases, the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
