A young woman has been arrested after a man was found dead with stab wounds at a home in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs overnight.
Emergency services were called to a property on Ranfurlie Court in Forest Hill about 2am on Wednesday following reports of an incident at the address.
Upon arrival, police located a 29-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. Officers immediately commenced CPR, but the man could not be revived and died at the scene.
A 23-year-old woman, believed to be the victim’s girlfriend, was taken into custody and is assisting detectives with their inquiries.
Forensic officers spent the morning examining the property and gathering evidence as part of the investigation.
A crime scene has been established at the Forest Hill home while detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
No charges have been announced, and police say the investigation remains ongoing.
