INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A 14-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Indiana University graduate Brett Scrogham, a case that has shocked the Indianapolis community and raised questions about violent crime involving juveniles.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) announced that the teen was taken into custody on Wednesday following an intensive investigation into the May 28 shooting death of Scrogham.
Authorities have not publicly identified the juvenile suspect due to his age.

Investigators say Scrogham, a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, was shot while sitting in his vehicle on the third floor of a downtown parking garage near the Indiana Convention Center.
