Atlanta Police Hunt for Two Women Accused of Drugging Man and Stealing Luxury Watches Worth $25,000
Police in Atlanta are searching for two women accused of drugging a man and stealing luxury wristwatches valued at more than $25,000 from his Buckhead home.
According to investigators, officers responded to a larceny report on June 4 at a residence in the 200 block of East Paces Ferry Road NE. The victim told police he had met two women earlier that evening at a commercial property on West Paces Ferry Road NW before accompanying them back to his home.
Authorities say the three spent time together inside the residence, where the victim was allegedly drugged. At some point, he lost consciousness and later awoke to discover the women had left.
When the man regained consciousness, he realized several high-value men’s wristwatches were missing from the property. Investigators estimate the stolen collection is worth more than $25,000.
Detectives believe the theft was carefully planned and are working to identify the two women involved. Surveillance footage and other evidence are being reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
Atlanta police have released information about the case and are asking the public for assistance in locating the suspects. Officials have not disclosed whether the women are believed to have committed similar crimes elsewhere.
Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
Authorities are reminding residents to exercise caution when inviting unfamiliar individuals into their homes and to remain aware of potential drugging and theft schemes targeting valuables.
