Police have renewed their appeal for public assistance as investigations continue into a shooting that left two men injured in Sydney’s west earlier this year. The incident occurred in Chester Hill in March following a large public brawl involving up to 20 people. During the confrontation, two men were shot, prompting a major police investigation.
Detectives say the attack was targeted and have sought to reassure local residents that there is no indication the broader community was at risk.
Investigators are continuing to examine evidence gathered from the scene and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Police have revealed they are focusing on two vehicles believed to be linked to the incident and say significant progress has been made in identifying those involved.
While no arrests or charges have been announced, detectives remain confident that the investigation is advancing and that those responsible will be identified.
Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the brawl, has dashcam footage, CCTV recordings, or information about the vehicles of interest to contact Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
