TORONTO, Ontario — Toronto police are searching for suspects after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing at Woodbine Beach on Friday night.

Officers responded to reports of a fight in the boardwalk area shortly before 9 p.m., according to police.

Victim Found With Stab Wounds

When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from stab wounds.

Toronto paramedics transported the victim to hospital with serious injuries. Authorities have said the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and the victim is expected to survive.

Police have not released the victim’s age or identity.

Fight Erupts on Busy Boardwalk

Investigators say the stabbing occurred during some type of altercation on the Woodbine Beach boardwalk.

It remains unclear how many individuals were involved in the fight or what led to the confrontation.

The incident occurred during a busy Friday evening at one of Toronto’s most popular waterfront destinations, where numerous visitors were still enjoying the area despite earlier rainfall.

Witnesses told police the boardwalk was active at the time the violence erupted.
