Two teenagers have been charged following an alleged carjacking in Queensland’s South Burnett region that left a couple shaken after being threatened with a knife.Police allege the incident occurred in the Kingaroy CBD, where two teenage boys approached a couple and used a knife to steal their vehicle before fleeing the area.
The alleged carjacking prompted a major police response and a search operation to locate those responsible.
Following investigations, officers arrested and charged two teenage suspects in connection with the incident.
Authorities have not released further details about the victims, but police say the couple was threatened during the confrontation. No serious physical injuries have been reported.
The stolen vehicle has since been recovered, and investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The teenagers are expected to face court on charges relating to the alleged armed robbery and vehicle theft.
