LONDON, England — Four teenagers have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in what police describe as an unprovoked assault at a London Underground station.
British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim suffered a broken nose and broken ribs during the attack at Colindale Underground Station in north London.
Attack Happened on Station Platform
According to investigators, the assault occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. on May 25 while the victim was standing on the platform looking at a map.
Police say a group of youths had just exited a train when one member of the group kicked the man’s heel as they walked past.
The incident quickly escalated into a violent confrontation that left the victim with significant injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and the victim later received treatment for his injuries.
Four Teenagers Arrested
British Transport Police confirmed that three girls and one boy, all aged 15, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The teenagers have since been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
Authorities have not released further details about the suspects due to their ages.
