Man Allegedly Kills Elder Brother Over Money Dispute in Rajasthan’s Bikaner
Bikaner, Rajasthan: A heated argument over money allegedly turned fatal after a man killed his elder brother in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district late Thursday night, police said.
The incident occurred in Panchariya Chowk in Nokha town, where 35-year-old Hukam Chand Panchariya died on the spot following the alleged attack.
According to preliminary police investigations, the two brothers became involved in an argument over money, which quickly escalated into violence. The younger brother allegedly attacked Hukam Chand, resulting in fatal injuries.
After receiving information about the incident, officers from Nokha Police Station rushed to the scene and took the victim’s body into custody. The body has been sent to the district hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Circle Officer Jarnail Singh also visited the crime scene to oversee the investigation.
Police have detained the accused younger brother for questioning and have deployed additional personnel in the area as investigations continue.
Authorities said there was no immediate confirmation of the exact motive beyond the financial dispute, and the case is being investigated from all possible angles.
Armed Man Breaks Into Married Woman’s Home, Demands Marriage in Kota
Kota, Rajasthan: A man armed with a country-made pistol allegedly broke into a married woman’s home in Rajasthan’s Kota district and pressured her to marry him, before threatening to take his own life when police arrived.
The incident took place on Wednesday in the Borkheda police station area.
According to the woman’s complaint, she had become acquainted with the accused in 2023 but later ended all contact. Despite this, the man allegedly continued calling and harassing her for months, threatening to kill and defame her if she refused to speak to him.
Police said the accused entered the woman’s house carrying a country-made firearm, assaulted her, slapped her and allegedly attempted to molest her while demanding that she marry him.
The woman managed to lock the accused inside a room and immediately alerted police.
When officers reached the house, the accused allegedly threatened to shoot himself unless the woman agreed to divorce her husband and marry him.
Borkheda Station House Officer Anil Kumar Tailor said police negotiated with the man for nearly two hours before entering the room through a window after removing a cooler installed outside.
As officers entered, the accused allegedly consumed a poisonous substance. He was immediately shifted to MBS Hospital, where he remains under treatment.
Police have seized the country-made pistol and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
Husband Allegedly Strangles Wife Over Gutkha Addiction, Fakes Heart Attack in Rajasthan
Sirohi, Rajasthan: A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife over her gutkha addiction and repeated demands for money before attempting to disguise the crime as a natural death, police said.
The accused, Gajendra Singh Rajput, allegedly strangled his wife Poonam Kanwar while the couple was returning from a trip to Udaipur.
According to investigators, the couple had been married for five years and had a three-year-old daughter. Gajendra, who runs an electronics business in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, allegedly told police that frequent domestic disputes over his wife’s gutkha habit and financial demands had strained their marriage.
Police said he rented a car using a friend’s identification documents and drove to Udaipur with his wife before allegedly strangling her during the return journey.
After reaching home, he allegedly claimed that Poonam had suffered a heart attack. Family members initially believed his version and preparations for her funeral had begun.
However, police became suspicious after noticing injury marks on the victim’s body during preliminary inquiries. A post-mortem examination reportedly confirmed signs consistent with strangulation, prompting investigators to arrest Gajendra.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to planning the murder to end the troubled marriage.
Police have registered a murder case and continue investigating the incident.
Man Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Brother-in-Law With Axe Over Family Dispute
Bhanwargarh, Rajasthan: Police have arrested a man accused of attempting to murder his brother-in-law with an axe following a family dispute in Rajasthan.
The attack took place late on July 11 in the Prem Nagar Sahariya Colony of Bhanwargarh.
According to police, the accused allegedly attacked the sleeping victim with an axe, causing serious head injuries.
Investigators said the accused was angry because his wife had been living at her parents’ home for the past two years. He allegedly blamed his brother-in-law for preventing her return to the matrimonial home and attacked him in revenge.
The injured man was rushed to hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries.
Following an investigation, police tracked down and arrested the accused brother-in-law. The weapon used in the attack has been seized, and a case has been registered.
Police said further investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the assault.
