Texas Man Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Neighbor’s Window, Threatening Resident; Meth Pipe Found During Arrest

POTEET, Texas — A Texas man was arrested and jailed after allegedly breaking a neighbor’s window and making threats during a disturbance in Poteet, according to local police.

The Poteet Police Department said in a social media post that Preston Alanis Jr. was taken into custody following an incident involving property damage and threats directed at a neighboring resident.

According to investigators, Alanis allegedly broke a window at a neighbor’s property and threatened the individual before police intervened.

During the arrest, officers reportedly discovered a pipe containing methamphetamine in Alanis’ possession. As a result, he was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the alleged threats, the extent of the property damage, or whether anyone was injured during the incident.

Alanis was booked into jail and is expected to face charges related to criminal mischief, threats, and drug possession. Formal court proceedings are pending.
