Calgary police are continuing to investigate the deaths of a woman and a young child who were discovered inside a northeast Calgary residence.
Officers were called to a home on Temple Green Place shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday to conduct a welfare check. Upon entering the residence, they found the bodies of a woman in her 40s and a child believed to be under the age of 10.
Residents in the area identified the victims as a woman and a young girl who lived at the home.
Police have not released the identities of the deceased and say they are not currently searching for any suspects. Investigators remain at the scene as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
